I was first called upon to serve as a church pianist and organist in my early teens at a small church in England, where I grew up. It has been over twenty five years since that journey began, and I still feel motivated and driven to learn and share new arrangements of sacred and classical music, as well as perform with the choir and special individual vocalists.
I rehearse and perform weekly with the Cancel Choir (led by Nancy Congdon), lead the hymns from the organ in the Sunday traditional service, prepare special music for the weekly offertory; as of 2022 I have been the Director of the Praise and Worship group. I also assist Maury Black with selections of sacred and classical music, and play at weddings, funerals and other occasional services.
I love my career with ESPN. I could not ask for a more exciting and challenging job, working in the audio and video production of college and professional sports games. I also perform as a solo jazz pianist, in various groups across upstate New York, and as a guest artist in larger events. Ancient archeology is my big reading passion – if time allows.
