GERTRUDE HAWK CANDY SALE: Please support the Community Outreach Team’s efforts to assist local children in need. Candy orders will be taken on Sunday, Feb. 26 in the Welcome Center after both services. Candy will be delivered mid-March in time for Easter.

SPECIAL MUSIC On Palm Sunday, April 1st, the Music Ministry will present “Run to the Cross” by Travis Cottrell. Anyone who enjoys singing is welcome to join us. You must attend 6 rehearsals and the dress rehearsal to be eligible. Rehearsals will be held on Tuesdays and Wednesdays starting on February 28th. The dress rehearsal will be on Saturday, March 31st from 2 to 4. If you are interested and not presently singing with us, please see Colin or Nancy so that we can be sure we have a copy of music for you.

GIVING UP AND DOING SOMETHING FOR LENT How about a couple of hours a week helping elementary or middle school kids on the near west side of Syracuse with their homework? We call it 'tutoring' and it happens each Tuesday and Thursday at Brown Memorial UMC at the intersection of S. Geddes and Davis Sts. (across from Delaware Elementary School). Pick either night and arrive a little before 6:00 and leave by 7:30 (sometimes sooner). For more information, collar Warren Covell (452-0523). Ride available Thursdays.

HANDICAP REMP MINISTRY Our church will build a ramp for anyone in the area who needs one for the cost of materials. Contact the church office.

ALL AROUND EASTER For the next 6 weeks our children will be participating in an Easter program during their Sunday school time. The goal and prayers for this program is that it will help our children experience the entire Lenten season. This adventure will start Feb. 26th and continue through April 1st . We invite the congregation into Fellowship hall following their worship service to take part in our closing activities. Parents please come in and join in with your (child) children as we learn about what Jesus experienced his last days on Earth, and to look forward to celebrating His RESURRECTION! Because we know Easter is more than just “1” day.

2012 ACTS OF MISSION Filling the grocery cart in the narthex, participating with our youth group, walking in the CROPWalk, tutoring at Westside Urban Ministries, sending a get well card, mentoring a young person about to make their confirmation, teaching Sunday school, gift wrapping during Advent, serving on a church committee, cooking a meal for those who cannot, visiting a golden Christian the list is long. Our church and world is full of opportunities big and small to do Christ’s work. This year, Missions invites you to help us list those acts of mission done by yourself, your family or friends. No names or dates needed, God knows what you did. Deposit your acts in the envelope on the mission board. Watch the thermometer rise to a goal of 2012 acts of mission.

CHANCEL FLOWER CHART FOR 2012 is posted in the Narthex on the Greeter Board. If you would like the church to order flowers for you, the cost is $25. We order our flowers from Lotts o’ Flowers in Cicero. There is an option for you to order yourself from your favorite florist.

THE ROOM NEXT TO JACK’S OFFICE, which houses the 7th and 8th grade Girls on Sunday, is now officially known as the “Vera Room” for calendaring purposes.

COLLECTING RECYCLABLE BOTTLES AND CANS FOR UGANDA Help the 7th and 8th grade boys continue with their sponsored child project.
