Crop Walk

Each October our church supports the Church World Service Crop Walk at Oneida Shores Park in Cicero.  Walkers raise funds through gifts and pledges from our congregation.  The money raised is used to feed people in need at home and abroad.

Sweets For Your Sweetie

Just in time for Valentine's Day, the Missions Team organized a "Sweets for your Sweetie" bake sale to benefit the Appalacian Service Project, (ASP).  Youth and adults from our church have participated in an ASP project twice and are planning another trip this summer.  Read more to see some pictures that will make your mouth water.

2012 Acts of Mission

Help us reach our goal of 2,012 acts of mission in 2012.

Filling the grocery cart in the narthex, participating with our youth group, walking in the Cropwalk, tutoring at Westside Urban Ministries, sending a get well card, mentoring a young person about to make their confirmation, teaching Sunday school, gift wrapping during Advent, serving on a church committee, cooking a meal for those who cannot, visiting a golden Christian the list is long. Our church and world is full of opportunities big and small to do Christ’s work. This year missions invites you to help us list those acts of mission done by yourself, your family or friends. No names or dates needed, God knows what you did.

Deposit your acts in the envelope on the mission board. Watch the thermometer rise to a goal of 2,012 acts of mission.

Zimbabwe Mutambara Methodist Mission Trip

Friends & Family,
I went on a Methodist mission trip to Zimbabwe from July 2nd to July 17th 2011 with 10 others from the Upper New York Methodist Annual Conference.  We primarily visited the Methodist Mission community in Mutambara, Zimbabwe. My first mission trip was a life changing experience and I feel privileged to have had the ability to do this. I feel fortunate to live in America, to have God by my side at every moment, to have a greater faith in God, to have a healthy family, and to have met people in Africa that will hold a special place in my heart.
