Visit to Pendleton Center UMC

The Futures Team visited the Pendleton Center United Methodist Church near Buffalo one Sunday morning.  In terms of Sunday worship attendance, Pendleton Center is about twice as large as Cicero.  We attended their middle worship service and then toured their facilities.  We then had lunch with their pastor and some key people.  We learned a lot and enjoyed our visit.  Read more to see some pictures taken by Nancy Congdon.

Futures Team

The Futures Team goal is to look at where the church currently is and where we believe the church should be going in the next 5 to 10 years.  The first step of this process is to evaluate the current size of the church and determine if more church growth is necessary to meet the needs of our community.  So far we have traveled to Pendleton Center United Methodist Church near Buffalo, NY, to see how a church twice our size operates.  Next, we will discuss what we learned at Pendleton Center with the congregation to decide if we feel God is caling us to grow or if we should address the needs of our community by staying the same size.

It's an exciting time at CUMC as we look towards the future and listen for God's calling on what he wants us to do next!
